Waste oil is a major disposal problem on many mine sites. Reprocessing existing waste oil and using it as a substitute for diesel (up to a 50% blend) in ANFO is a cost effective solution with a payback time of typically under 12 months.

Coal mine methane (CMM) represents a significant carbon liability for many coal mines. As an alternative to flaring or power generation, processing it to LNG eliminates the carbon liability and creates a valuable product.

X-Energy views micro-LNG as a key transition technology for the resource sector and is working to develop a domestic supply network of micro-LNG facilities to supply LNG for use in off-site power generation, mobile fleet and trains.
